Nutritional Policy

PURPOSE

At Patties Food Group (Patties), we strive to make tasty, convenient and more accessible food choices for consumers around the world. Our nutrition policy statement outlines our guiding principles and objectives in relation to nutrition.

Nutrition Pillars underpinned by Patties Foods guiding principles:

Pillar 1 - Nutritional Quality Pillar 2 – Transparency Pillar 3 – Product Innovation Pillar 4 – Collaboration

  1. NUTRITIONAL QUALITY Patties is a market leading food manufacturer, comprising a portfolio of iconic Australian and New Zealand snacking and ready meal brands such as Four‘N Twenty, Herbert Adams, Nanna’s, Super Nature, On The Menu, Fitness Outcomes and Ruffie Rustic Foods. Patties is a trusted manufacturing partner of all major Australian based retailers, as well as Lean Cuisine, Weight Watchers and Annabel Karmel ready meals, and Leggo’s pasta and sauces. Patties has longstanding customer relationships in the retail, petrol and convenience, food service, and QSR channels, and a growing export business to the United States and Asian markets. As responsible members of the food industry, we recognise the impact food choices have on society. We prioritise high quality ingredients and strive to provide products that are low in trans-fat and free of artificial colours and flavours.
  2. TRANSPARENCY At Patties Foods we believe in transparent communication with consumers. Nutrition information is provided for all retail products and is presented clearly on the back of product packaging. This information allows consumers to evaluate the quality and authenticity of our products, contributing to their overall satisfaction and confidence in our brands. The Health Star Rating has been adopted to 90% of all branded products. This front-of-pack labelling system provides consumers with a quick, easy, and standardized way to compare the nutritional value of similar packaged foods.
  3. PRODUCT INNOVATION At Patties Foods we are committed to continuous improvement and innovation in our product development. We strive to introduce new food options that align with current dietary guidelines and consumer preferences, including vegan, vegetarian, low calorie, high protein, and gluten-free alternatives. By introducing these options, we contribute to helping customers to consume a more balanced and nutritious diet, supporting individual eating habits, without compromising on taste and quality.
  4. COLLABORATION Patties Foods support initiatives led by government agencies, public health organisations, and other stakeholders aimed at improving public health and nutrition. We actively engage in dialogue and share best practices to contribute to the development of effective policies and programs. Supporting these initiatives demonstrates our commitment to consumer wellbeing and fosters trust amongst our consumers. This trust is essential for building our brand reputation and maintaining customer loyalty.
